Meet Kendra — A speech-language pathologist who comes to you
Kendra Pinney, M.S., CCC-SLP, has worked with children as a speech-language pathologist since 2019. She earned BAs in Communication Sciences & Disorders and Psychology from Augustana College, and an MS in Speech-Language Pathology from St. Ambrose University. She began her career as a school-based SLP in Illinois before moving to Iowa with her husband, Marshall, and has since worked in pediatric clinics.
A big believer in play-based, relationship-based, child-led therapy, Kendra's favorite clients are those with the most complex communication needs. As a neuro-diverse adult herself, she understands how vital it is to tailor each environment to a child's individual needs; to see and value all that is communicated, not just heard; and to build skills in natural settings so they carry over into everyday life. She created Kendra's Communication Haven to give families and children a safe place for all communication, learning, and growth — regardless of what it looks like.
