Gestalt, Gather & Grow: Sweet Summer Social
A free, inclusive community event for families — hosted by an NLA-trained speech-language pathologist and a Certified Autism Spectrum Disorder Clinical Specialist (occupational therapist).
Come play, connect, and learn with us! Gestalt Gather & Grow is a relaxed, family-friendly afternoon where you can meet other families, let your kids play, and learn about Gestalt Language Processing (GLP) in a warm, no-pressure setting.
Every child is welcome — this event is designed for children of all language abilities, including those who are:
- Minimally speaking
- Non-speaking
- AAC users
- Speaking
However your child communicates, they belong here.

To supplement our live event, we'll be sharing a special follow-up video featuring guest speaker Cass Griffin Bennett. Both of Cass's daughters developed language through Gestalt Language Processing, but their journeys looked very different. Join us to learn what GLP looked like for their family, and how they navigated communication for both children in their own ways.

Meet the hosts
This event is led by two experienced pediatric providers:
- Kendra Pinney, M.S., CCC-SLP - A speech-language pathologist who is an NLA-Trained Clinician — trained in the Natural Language Acquisition framework that guides how we support gestalt language processors.
- Amanda Godwin, OTD, OTR/L - An occupational therapist who is a Certified Autism Spectrum Disorder Clinical Specialist (ASDCS).
